Personalized Memory Care that Promotes Daily Success [VIDEO]

Posted by The Goodman Group on February 7, 2024

When someone you know is experiencing memory loss and needs the support of a specialized community, it can be difficult to know who to turn to. The Goodman Group’s Pearls of Life® memory care recognizes the value of each individual and helps residents live dignified, well-rounded lives, discovering the treasures, or pearls, within.

Several of the memory care neighborhoods at The Goodman Group’s managed communities offer Montessori Inspired Lifestyle®, a positive approach to providing care for adults living with dementia or Alzheimer’s disease. This approach of care is based on the methods of Maria Montessori, as adapted for adults by Dr. Cameron Camp, founder of the Center for Applied Research in Dementia. This approach to care allows residents to focus on their individual strengths and engage in meaningful activities.

Residents thrive in thoughtfully designed environments and participate in engaging social activities while receiving personalized care. Our dedicated caregivers participate in specialized training and continuous in-service education to best assist residents with dementia and Alzheimer's disease.

Pearls of LIFe®

It is our goal to provide an environment that is intimate enough for memory care residents to feel comfortable and secure while still promoting growth opportunities. We work with each family to assist with the transition both to the managed community and into a memory care neighborhood through the progression of their loved one's diagnosis.Guide to Senior Living Tours CTA

The managed communities work with residents’ families and caregivers to develop a personalized service plan that adapts to best meet their loved one's health and care needs. We encourage family members to help structure their loved one’s care plan.

Team members at the managed communities respect each resident’s needs and interests and adapt activities to reflect their preferences. By actively pursuing residents’ participation and encouraging all levels of involvement in daily programs, new interests can still be developed and enjoyed.
