“My husband has been coming here almost a year and a half now, 3 days a week,” says Linda, the wife of an adult day care participant. “I am trying to keep him active socially. I think he needs to be with people that get him.”
Adult day care offers relief to caregivers while providing a safe and social environment for their loved one.
“A good day care program is huge and something I would definitely tell people to do if they’re in my situation,” says Linda.
Linda knows that soon it will be time for Barry to make the move into a memory care community. She feels this will be a smooth transition because Barry is already familiar with Villa at Terracina Grand’s team members, the other residents, and the community as a whole.
“The caregivers are all like family to him,” Linda says.
