Senior living communities provide ample opportunities to make a difference and get involved in life enriching activities on a daily basis. Betty, a resident at Terracina Grand, takes us through what a typical day looks like for her.
Betty usually gets up around 6:30 a.m. everyday and heads down for breakfast at about 8:00 am. “The greatest part of living here is that I don’t have to buy groceries, and I don’t have to cook!” says Betty. She then eases into her day by reading the newspaper and exercising.
Betty is in charge of the three libraries within the Terracina Grand community. She visits the library daily to make sure things are organized and running smoothly. Betty is also very involved at Villa at Terracina, the neighboring community to Terracina Grand. She helps write the newsletter for the community and also hosts guests who are interested in learning more about their amenities .
“Our life enrichment department outdoes itself with activities,” says Betty. She also appreciates the worship services offered within the community. They are hosted by a Spiritual Care Director who does not focus on a specific religion, encouraging many denominations to attend. “I feel very honored that we have that.”
